Nightly Reading:
Each night your child will have reading homework in his/her red reading folder. He/she will be assigned a book that will need to be read with an adult. When he/she finishes reading their book the red folder needs to be signed and returned to school the next day. It is very important to read with your child every day.
Word Lists:
Each child has a yellow folder that contains 11 lists of words that they need to learn in first grade. These are their basic sight words. Each child is tested on Friday of each week . Please study these words with your child each night. It is very important that your child learns these words!!
